Pods begin with light purple mottling (on variegated white leaves) before they transition to white and ripen fully to red. White Thai peppers are a type of Thai chili pepper, characterized by their small size, high heat (50,000-100,000 SHU), and a fruity flavor, often used in Thai cuisine. Slightly hotter than a Cayenne pepper but not as hot as Habaneros. Pods are small, typically 2 to 3 inches in length. White Thai pepper plants are easily grown in containers and are a great ornamental plant, usually (but not always) with variegated leaves! 90+ days to harvest. Capsicum annuum.
