Name/Species: Thai Bird, capsicum annuum

Size (when shipped):  2-6 inches per seedling. The seedling pictured is for reference only, your plants may be slightly shorter, larger, or fuller when received but still within this range. Plants may be topped prior to shipping to encourage lower growth habit an bushing, with new growth at the nodes of top site.

Description: A screaming hot Thai bird-type pepper, with short, 2-3” long, fiery fruits. These small peppers pack a real punch: On the Scoville scale, they rate between 50,000 and 100,000 Scoville units. Used extensively in Asian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian cuisines.  In the case of Thai cuisine, green peppers are typically used in green curries, while hotter, mature red peppers are used in red curries. One of our favorite ways to use Thai peppers is to make hot sauce! These plants are the poster for high productivity, often times having hundreds of fruits growing at once. 90+ days to harvest.
