It’s an extremely unique and productive variety originating from a small town in China. It is valued by both gardeners and culinary enthusiasts for its VERY distinctive appearance—characterized by wrinkled and elongated pods—and its appealing flavor profile, which is described as both smoky and fruity. This is unlike most other Capsicum types making both the appearance and flavor in a class of its own! Zou-Pi also offers a mild to moderate heat level, typically ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making it versatile for use in Asian-inspired dishes, salads, flakes, or even pickling. Ripens from green to red in ~85 days. Capsicum annuum.
