Seed/Plant info: Elevate your garden with our red Rocoto pepper seed packs from Soda City Greens! Known scientifically as Capsicum pubescens, these striking peppers are celebrated for their vibrant, glossy red pods, unique black seeds, and fuzzy foliage. Offering a fiery punch balanced by a crisp, fruity flavor, Rocotos are famously hardy and uniquely suited to thrive in cooler growing conditions where other peppers struggle. Perfect for making exceptional hot sauces, salsas, or stuffing whole, these rare heirloom-style seeds are a must-have for adventurous gardeners and spice lovers alike. Fruits mature from green to vibrant red in about 100 days after sowing. A great addition to the Sweet Heat family of peppers! Of note, Pubescens varieties are notoriously difficult to germinate!
