Name/Species: Mattapeno, capsicum annuum

Size (when shipped):  2-6 inches per seedling. The seedling pictured is for reference only, your plants may be slightly shorter, larger, or fuller when received but still within this range.

Size (fully grown): 2+ feet 

Description: Great genetics by Matt Ohlendorf of Matt’s Peppers!  The king of variegated crosses. The Mattapeno is a white-leaved, purple-stemmed, heavily variegated jalapeño with stripes on the peppers! Variegated foliage is characterized by leaves that have more than one color on them, often featuring a combination of green and white or green and yellow patches. These variegated patterns can be stripes, spots, or marbling. A must grow! Pods are ~2.5 inches long with a smooth and shiny skin. Ripens from green to red. Plants can reach ~3 feet tall and produce prolifically. Scoville units: 5,000 to 10,000 SHU. 90+ days to harvest. Capsicum annuum.
