Hatch (New Mexico Red) Pepper Seeds

Seed/Plant info: If you have ever lived in New Mexico or tasted Hatch chiles then you know you can’t live without them! Well, maybe you'll live, but wouldn't it be so much better to grow them at home?! We think so! Grown for over a century, the term "Hatch" describes several different chile varieties ranging from mild to extra hot that are grown in the specific Hatch region of New Mexico. Known worldwide for their incredible flavor, this heirloom Hatch variety is perfect for roasting and stuffing due to their size. Also, great for making red chile sauce or pungent red chile powder from the dried red pods. This variety has thick flesh with heat that can range from mild to medium. The pods are HUGE at 8" long and grow on HIGHLY productive 30” tall plants. 80+ days to harvest. Capsicum annuum. 

On a technicality, if you don't actually grow these varieties in the Hatch region of New Mexico, then you can't call them Hatch chiles. However, they still taste INCREDIBLE no matter where you live, so spread the pepper love and grow some this year!
