Seed/Plant info: Large fruited tomatillo with sweet green fruits measuring 2 to 3 inches across (1.8 - 2.8 ounces), enclosed in a papery husk. Vigorous vines. Unlike many tomato (Solanum) species that can self-pollinate, tomatillo plants are generally self-incompatible and require at least two plants for successful fruit sets. Essential in Mexican cuisine for salsa verde, generally more tart and acidic than tomatoes. Unlike tomatoes, tomatillos remain firm when ripe. Good disease resistance! 80+ days to harvest. Indeterminate variety. Physalis philadelphica.
