Variety description:

Can’t get enough of the Carolina Reaper? Try the yellow variety of a current world record holder for one of the HOTTEST peppers in the WORLD! Reports of Carolina Reapers crossing into the 2 million club of the Scoville Heat Index are not unheard of! If your taste buds allow it, you may pick up sweet and fruity notes. Reapers are the perfect pepper to dehydrate and grind into Carolina Reaper powder that can be used to season all types of meats and cheeses. Fruits are 2.5” wide and 2.5" long with stinger and bright yellow rough skin. Consider yourself warned..FEAR THE REAPER!!

Instructions for rehydration:

Use the "Toast and Soak" Method

1) Prep the Peppers: Pull off the stems. If you want to decrease the heat, slice them open and shake out the seeds.

2) Toast (optional but recommended): Place the dry pods in a hot, dry skillet over medium heat for 30–60 seconds per side. You’re looking for them to become fragrant and slightly more flexible. Don't let them burn, or they’ll turn bitter!

3) The Boil: Bring a pot of water to a boil, then remove it from the heat.

4) Submerge: Drop the peppers into the hot water. Use a small plate or a heavy bowl to weigh them down so they stay completely submerged.

5) Wait: Let them sit for 15 to 30 minutes and use them as you wish!
