Despite its name, it actually originated in the United States and was introduced by the Burpee Seed Company in 1900. At the time of its release, it was twice as large as any other bell pepper on the market! Chinese Giant peppers are notoriously HUGE growing up to 6” across! Think of a sweet bell pepper on STEROIDS! Blocky fruits with medium-thick sweet flesh. Plants are a compact 24" tall. Ripens from green to red. Days to harvest 85-90. Capsicum annuum.
